Frozen turkey bowling
In Nederland, they hold a festival each year, celebrating a very dead and frozen man. His name is Grandpa Bredo(google it). Grandpa died some twenty years ago, but instead of being put in a casket and lowered into the ground, he was put on ice. In-fact, for the first 5-years post mortem, he was kept on ice by his own wife, daughter and son, in their own home above Nederland. When they no longer were able to keep him in the cold, people from the town helped out and for another 10 years he was kept in below zero in a shed, above Nederland. He has since been moved to a real cryogenic facility and has now been frozen for around 20 years. The celebration of the frozen man happens every year in the 2nd. weekend of march and includes look-a-like contests, coffin races, live music, beer drinking contests and off course, frozen turkey bowling.
